Recently Husqvarna announced they are releasing an addition to their smartguard saw safety PPE family. The SmartGuard™ Safety Helmet is here to enhance saw operator safety and decrease the severity of injury if a kickback occurs.
Husqvarna SmartGuard PPE
This unique helmet is part of the SmartGuard™ family of protective equipment for handheld cutting. It is equipped with chin guard protection, which can reduce the severity of injuries from blade contact if a kickback occurs.
The helmet is sturdy, yet lightweight and well-ventilated for maximum comfort. It offers a universal fit and a wheel ratchet for easy size adjustment. Also equipped with earmuffs and a visor. Check out the video below from Husqvarna overview the helmet's features
SmartGuard Protection - The Smartguard™ Helemt features a specially designed chin guard that reduces the severity of blade contact injury from the rotating blade if a power cutter kickback accident should occur.
Modular System - The chin guard, visor, and hearing protection are easy to remove for different work situations.
Helmet UV Indicator - The helmet is designed with an advanced UV indicator that indicates when the helmet is reaching the end of its life and should be replaced.
Husqvarna Design - The SmartGuard™ Helmet is made with premium quality, sturdy material and is tested and approved in accordance to the European standard EN 397:2012+A1:2012, with approval for usage in low temperatures, -30°C
