At Esch Construction Supply, our Exceptional Service to Others (ESO) Committee had an incredible year in 2024, filled with impactful initiatives and meaningful connections. From sponsoring local events to volunteering time and resources for important causes, our team worked tirelessly to give back to the communities we serve.
This year’s efforts reflect our commitment to making a difference, not just in the construction industry but also in the lives of the people around us. Here’s a recap of the highlights from 2024.
St. Paul College - Esch Construction Supply Scholarship
The Esch Construction Supply Scholarship is an annual award sponsored in partnership with Saint Paul College. This scholarship supports students from BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or People of Color) communities pursuing careers through Technical Education Programs.
By investing in future industry professionals, this scholarship empowers underrepresented individuals, promotes diversity in technical fields, and helps build a skilled workforce that reflects the communities we serve. Esch is proud to contribute to the success of aspiring professionals by providing opportunities for continued education and career growth.
School Supply Collection Drive
In August, our St. Paul branch came together to support local students by organizing a school supply drive for Bruce Vento Elementary in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The team collected an impressive assortment of essential supplies, including notebooks, binders, pens, pencils, markers, and more. These donations helped ensure that students and teachers had the tools necessary for a successful school year.
Kids in Need Foundation Team Volunteering
Our team dedicated an afternoon to volunteering with the Kids in Need Foundation, an organization committed to ensuring that every child is prepared to learn and succeed in the classroom. Together, we helped sort, organize, and distribute essential school supplies to underserved schools and students, making a tangible impact on the lives of young learners.
Warm Clothes Collection Drive
In October, our St. Paul team came together to support those in need by organizing a clothing drive. Employees generously donated a wide array of winter essentials, such as jackets, coats, gloves, hats, and scarves.
These much-needed items were donated to Sharing and Caring Hands, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing assistance, resources, and hope to individuals and families facing hardship. We are proud to support their mission to uplift those in need and strengthen our community.
Toy Drives
St. Paul, MN - Before the holiday season, our St. Paul team organized a toy drive to bring joy to children in need. They collected a variety of brand-new toys, including stuffed animals, action figures, puzzles, and art supplies. The donated toys were delivered to The Toy Shelf, Inc., a local nonprofit in St. Paul dedicated to supporting underserved children during the holidays.
Waukesha, WI - Our Waukesha team also embraced the holiday spirit by collecting toys for children in need within their community. They gathered an assortment of games, dolls, building sets, and more to ensure local families experienced the magic of the holiday season.
By working together, the Waukesha team helped bring smiles to countless children, reminding us all of the importance of kindness, compassion, and community.
Hammer Residence Reach for Ralph Event
The Hammer Residence Reach for Ralph event is an annual charity fundraiser organized by Hammer Residences, a nonprofit providing quality housing and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. This event brings the community together to support a meaningful cause.
Featuring engaging activities, inspiring stories, and opportunities for contributions, Reach for Ralph helps empower individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives while fostering a more inclusive community.

Day of the Dozers hosted by the Minnesota Utility Contractors Association (MUCA), is a unique charity event that combines fun, education, and philanthropy. This event gives children the opportunity to operate real construction equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders, under the supervision of experienced operators.
Beyond the excitement, Day of the Dozers serves a greater purpose—raising funds for Children’s Minnesota, a leading pediatric healthcare organization. This one-of-a-kind event not only creates unforgettable memories for young participants but also supports the vital work of Children’s Minnesota.
Supporting Customer Events & Sponsorships
Market & Johnson Impact Fund Trap Shoot Fundraiser - We proudly sponsored the 9th annual Market & Johnson Employee Impact Fund (EIF) Trap Shoot Fundraiser in May. The event was a great success, raising $70,800 to support local communities.
Rabine Charity Golf Event - The Cheryl Rabine Foundation Golf Outing took place on June 3rd at Bull Valley Golf Club. This year’s event raised over $128,000, with 15% supporting the Veteran Business Project. The outing’s mission is to unite friends, colleagues, and clients to raise money for local charities benefiting children, underprivileged individuals, and veterans.
Sitewise: Metro Denver Pavers Charity Golf Event - The Denver Youth Program hosts an annual golf event to raise funds for the Denver Youth Program (DYP). Since its inception over 25 years ago, SiteWise has been an invaluable partner and Title Sponsor. The DYP aims to engage young people, decrease the impact of violence, and create opportunities for success in school, the community, and life.
Walsh Construction Charity Golf Event - We proudly sponsored a hole at the Walsh Construction MW Transportation Group’s “A Drive to Help” Golf Outing. Proceeds support local Chicago charities, including PAWS Chicago, Best Buddies, Easterseals of DuPage and Fox Valley, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.
Goodmanson Construction Charity Golf Event - The 2024 Goodmanson Charity Open Invitational Scramble Golf Tournament benefited the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). NAMI advocates for positive changes in the mental health system and increases public and professional understanding of mental illnesses. Mental health is a significant issue within the construction industry, and organizations like NAMI play a crucial role in supporting those in need.
