Best Practices for Mixing Fuel for your Saws
☑ All Stihl gasoline-powered equipment runs on a 50:1 mixture of gasoline and 2-cycle engine oil.
☑ With too much oil, you can cause carbon build-up on your spark arrestor.
☑ Not enough oil can lead to scoring on the piston and cylinder and bring damage to the saw bearings.
☑ Use 89+ octane fuel with low or no ethanol added.
☑ Only mix enough for a few days of work.
☑ Do not exceed 30 days of storage.
☑ Ensure proper mixing procedures based on your gas can's capacity.
☑ Always use all of your remaining fuel before you refill again.
