| Recently we wrote about locating the serial number on your Stihl TS 420 saws. Recently we have encountered others having a similar challenge locating the serial number on their Honda GX Series Engines. If your equipment has a Honda engine, and you need to have it serviced, you will likely need the model number and serial number.
To find the Model Number:  All Honda engine models start with the letter “G,” as seen here with the GX160 and GX690.
To find the Engine Serial Number:  You will find the serial number stamped on the side of the engine (side view above). All Honda engine serial numbers have a 4 or 5 letter prefix followed by a 7 digit number.
